Courses We Run

In this church we want to see people grow in their relationship with Christ and so at times during each year we run a number of courses which are designed to help people grow in some aspect of the Christian faith. See weekly news for when courses are running, or contact our office for more information.

Becoming a Christian - Alpha Course

Looking for answers?

The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. It is low-key, friendly and fun. Everyone is welcome on the course - anyone who is wanting to investigate Christianity, new Christians, newcomers to St George's, and for those who want to brush up on the basics.

The course explores the following questions:

· Is there more to life than this? (Introductory Talk)
·Who is Jesus?
· Why did Jesus die?
· How can we have faith? (picture)
· Why and how do I pray?
· Why and how should I read the Bible?
· How does God guide us?
· Who is the Holy Spirit?
· What does the Holy Spirit do?
· How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?
· How can I resist evil?
· Why and how should we tell others?
· Does God heal today?
· What about the Church?
· How can I make the most of the rest of my life?

The Three Colors of Ministry

This is a 4-5 week course designed to help people discover their spiritual gifts and to find what form of Christian service God is calling them to.

Three Colors of Love

This is a 4-5 week course that looks at the meaning of Christian love and how we might grow in the fruits of the Spirit.

I Believe This

This is a four week study course that looks a the basic doctrines of the Christian faith as found in the Apostle's Creed.

On Being a Contagious Christian

This is a 4-6 week course that equips people to share their faith more effectively.
